Sharing is Healing

I appreciate your taking the time to read the posts I share. The depth and raw content of what I write shared may not be for everyone. Sexual abuse, any abuse is challenging to talk about, let alone read.

So, thank you. Your courageous efforts to dive deep with me is appreciated more than you know.

Sharing is healing. Our mind, body, and spirit begin to heal the first time we speak out loud about our trauma, and in time, it becomes easier to talk about it. The memories hurt less, triggers reduced as we receive compassion, understanding, and loving support from others.

No matter who you tell, please, I urge you to speak up. Share about it, all the ugly parts too. The more we share, the more others will know it's safe to tell. When we hide in the shadows, we are giving away our power to the abuser, and the longer we wait, the more we are drained of our precious energy and self-love.

May I extend an invitation to you at this moment to reach out to me with your story? Whether you are on your healing journey or at the stage of considering speaking out, know that you are welcome to reach out to me. I'm here for you, to hold space for you while you let the words spill away from your soul.

One more invitation, if you please? I want to invite you to listen to my podcast: Sher Unbound (link in bio). I spoke yesterday about my first attempt to tell someone about the sexual abuse I met daily. While my first attempt wasn't a successful telling, remembering how ashamed it felt not to be believed drives my passion for encouraging co-survivors to share for healing. We need your voice, your story. Will you join us?

Let's Grow in Unison with Love,
